Intro - Don’t Let Marriage Throw You
A Sign - Miracles that attest to Jesus’ identity as Messiah and Son of God and leads unbelievers to faith.
John 2:11 - This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
How is the miracle in the Wedding at Cana in Galilee a Sign?
The Heavenly Covenant of Marriage - a Theme of Salvation in Holy Scripture
OT - God is the Bridegroom Israel is the Bride
Isaiah 62:5 - For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.
NT - Jesus is the Bridegroom Church is the Bride
Matthew 9:14-15 — 14 Then the disciples of John came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?” 15 And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them?

The Problem - Believers have been hurt in and through Marriage, even marriages they considered to be “Christian Covenant Marriages.”
Don’t let Marriage Throw You - Those who are Anxious, Angry, Discouraged or Disinterested.
There is only one person in the universe who can give me everything my heart is longing for; His name is Jesus and he is waiting for me and for you.
No Earthly Covenant of Marriage will replace
the Heavenly Covenant of Marriage.
