My WorldView - My Answers to some Ultimate Questions which reveal my personal WorldView, my view of the World, and therefore my behavior, in the World.

 5. What happens to a person at death? (The Universe Next Door, James Sire, InterVarsity Press, 1988)

The Present Heaven - Now - the place where Believers go now when we pass through death continuing our eternal life with Jesus.

The New Earth - Future - the place where our Heavenly Father comes in the future to dwell with all Believers.

  Revelation 21:1-3

“What God made us to desire, and therefore what we do desire if we admit it, is exactly what he promises to those who follow Jesus Christ: a resurrected life in a resurrected body, with the resurrected Christ on a resurrected Earth.” (Heaven, Randy Alcorn, p.7)

Creation - Past, Future, Present.

What is creation? In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. (Gen 1:1). All that is created, the heavens and earth, the entire created universe.

1. Past - For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope (vs. 20)

 Genesis 3:17 -  And to Adam he said … cursed is the ground because of you;

2. Future - that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God (vs.21)

Negatively - set free from its bondage to corruption

 &

Positively - obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God

 What about animals/our pets?

They will join us on the New Earth.

Story of Cousin Bert and Girlfriend in Bishopville SC

Psalm 36:6 - Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord.

3. Present - For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. (vs.22)

groaning in pain of childbirth - pain that anticipates joy, the joy of new birth

When will the New Earth begin?

When Believers receive our Resurrection Bodies.

Romans 8:23 - And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
