“I don’t believe in God.”        What do I say?

Begin by Asking questions:

Do you believe in love?

Can two people can love each other?     Yes.

Where does love come from? Heart - Emotions - Feelings

Yes, but - deeper question

Where do those emotions/feelings come from ??

In that moment there are two options:

1.  No God - Physical Only answer - Science and Evolution

2.  God - Physical answer tied to Biblical Truth

The human brain produces the chemicals to activate feelings of love to get the physical bodies to procreate for the continued evolution of the species.

“On the other hand, if God does exist, and God created us in his image, then love comes from somewhere in God and His love desires to find its way into and out of every human being’s heart.”

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

What does it mean; Love Comes from God?

John 17:24 - Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

God existed in one substance and three persons before creation.  before the foundation of the world.

What are they doing in eternity?   Glorifying each other out of love.  my glory that you have given me because you loved me.

What is love?     The World says “Love is love.”      But it’s not.

Four Greek Words translated into one English word, love.

Storge - Family love.

Eros - Romantic love.

Phileo - Deep Friendship love.

Agape - Service oriented, Sacrificial love.  God’s love for us.

(The Four Loves, CS Lewis)

Where do we primarily, chiefly receive the Agape/Love of Jesus Christ?         From His Cross.
